It’s imperative to sometimes go on a digital detox and be completely comfortable with who you are. Here’s how !!
1. Dance to your song
Direct Alexa to play your favourite song. If you are a shy dancer, lock the doors and dance away freely. Even a 2 minute groove to your personal favourite can make a world of difference to how you think and feel.
2. Create new looks
We know this may sound strange but sometimes just mixing and matching favourite picks and creating looks for potential occasions can be a great mood uplifter.
3. Scrub Away !
Its important to show a little self love during your bathing ritual. Pick the scrub of your choice or make one at home. Try this 2-3 times a week and not only will you achieve great skin but a great mindset as well !
4. Cook a New Recipe
Pick up any cuisine you love and try making a new dish from scratch. Planning the ingredients, following the instructions and savouring the creation of your hard work will distract and de-stress you completely.
5. Invent a Bedtime Ritual
Treat yourself to a great sleeping mask or intensely nourishing cream (Shop our Super Hydrating Prism Vitamin C Glow Cream ). Spray some pillow mist on your covers, grab your favourite book and avoid the blue light from your phone for atleast 30 minutes before bedtime.
6. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise
It’s such a well known fact that exercise releases endorphins or happy hormones that it’s a no brainer that quick cardio activities made it to this list. 30 minutes of any activity – cycling, brisk walking, running, or just jumping around is definitely going to do the trick.
7. A Good Old Soak
Nothing like turning on the tap and preparing your bath tub experience with aromatic salts and a great playlist. Close your eyes, read your favourite magazine or listen to some calming tunes. It will be a different you at the end of a 30 minute soak !
8. Pick up a pending Project
There’s always been that long list of forgotten projects that we wanted to do but somehow never got around to doing it. Well now is the time to pick one – it could be gardening, or DIY furniture, finishing an adult colouring book or playing an instrument you left long back.
9. Go to a Concert !
There is no rule that says that you can’t enjoy a concert alone. If it’s an artist you love, playing close by or just any kind of musical gig in the genre that you are fond of – just go attend ! Sway and sing to your favourite songs at the top of your lungs especially when you are surrounded by strangers.
10. Meditate for a few minutes
Meditation is great for your physical and mental health. It improves concentration, reduces stress, keeps your brain healthy and alert and even improves your sleep patterns.
Cross your legs and take a few deep breaths and focus without letting your mind wander unnecessarily. We know it’s tough but we promise you that with a few such sessions, your mind will be far calmer and happier.
